Open RP log - Gen

This is the place to come to goof off, out of game context and just for fun. In-person interactions open to anyone who wants a piece of Zoro.

Fighting is a-ok! Shenanigans and a modicum of crack also welcome. Shippy stuff should be cleared with me first, via PM or Plurk. I don't really do AUs but Cerealia-setting is okay.

Some prompt ideas I'd like to play out:

- castmate interactions he hasn't gotten in canon
- OP-universe settings: at sea, dangerous islands, Marine bases, scene-between-scenes
- talkin' swords with sword people
- get him to open up about things like his past, his blades, what he did during the timeskip...
- drinking games
- nursing back to health
- angst. Yeah. Angst.

Robin's smile widened only slightly. It's petty, she knew, but deep inside she enjoyed being preferred. Her fingers slipped up to the side of his neck, and another bloomed from the elbow to press a palm against his forehead. She glanced at a clock and began counting each time she felt a weak pulse.

"You're sleeping well, it seems," Nevermind the insidious worry no one dared give credence to that one of these times he might drift into a deeper sleep than he can come back from. "How are you feeling otherwise?" she asked, her voice soft to keep from waking the others.

If he were dying in the next hour, she'd have told him so right off, so he'd have a chance to square away what loose ends he might have left in his life. But no, her face was, as ever, a mask of quiet contemplation. Robin blinks, becoming a touch more animated as she finishes her count, her hands moving away from Zoro's forehead and throat.

"You're in good health, broken bones and lacerations aside," she said. "The others are sleeping off their own injuries."

Robin bloomed several hands along Zoro's bed, ready to help him sit up so she could tend to his wounds. Impishly, she traced her finger over his bandaged chest. "Let me change these, and you can eat."

Robin giggled, and wondered what she'd do if Zoro ever took her up on her teasing. It wasn't entirely honest of her to poke and nudge at him, implying some overt physical desire. But it wasn't entirely a lie, either. She dipped a clean cloth into the bowl of hot water, wringing it out and then rolling it between hands to let it cool while others went to work on Zoro's bandages. Even with Chopper's expertise and much practice at wrapping them, there were still some instances where the bandage getting stuck to the wound were inevitable. If not kept fresh, they could fester. Robin used the hot water to soften the scabs wherever this happened, slowly unwinding the thin strips of cloth holding her nakama together.

"They've managed to land quite a number on you this time," she commented. "Was their swordsman very good, or was there some trickery involved?"

"If you can't beat them physically, outsmart them," Robin said softly, nodding her head. It was a concept that had kept her alive more often than not. She dabbed the hot cloth against a deep laceration over his ribs and held it there, letting the heat and the water do the work rather than friction or force. Several little tugs at the bandage later, and his wounds were totally exposed to the air. Robin waved a hand over some of the still weeping ones, letting them breathe a little as other hands rinsed and wrung out the cloth a few times. The water had cooled a bit, so it wouldn't scald as she began cleaning his skin. Fresh gauze shored up the open cuts, held firmly in place by extra fleur sprouted for the purpose. These wounds would heal, and Zoro would be that much the wiser in the future.

"Some people just don't know how to lose gracefully," she said, thinking back on his words. "They're terrible. They should have believed in their swordsman more. Then they wouldn't have had to resort to deception."
